Collaborative Coach Development Programmes Designed for the Modern Game
IDA and One10Sport have partnered to deliver a structured international coach education pathway designed to develop coaches from grassroots level through to Scottish FA recognised qualifications.
The unique collaboration between IDA Sheffield, One10Sport and Scottish Football Association provides aspiring coaches and players with a clearly structured and professionally delivered pathway to achieve Scottish FA Level 1, Level 2 and Level 1 Goalkeeping qualifications within an intensive three month period.
The programmes combine a blend of online learning and practical coaching sessions, allowing candidates to develop both theoretical knowledge and applied coaching experience within a flexible and professional environment. The final elements of the Scottish FA Level 2 practical assessments are delivered on the grass in Scotland, providing candidates with an authentic high performance coaching experience within a recognised football environment.

Complete your full Scottish FA Level 1 Online, as well as start your Scottish FA C
License Online. Candidates will then be eligible to enrol on the Scottish FA C
License Phase 3 (Practical) at a later date that suits you. The tuition fee to
upgrade to the Scottish FA C License Phase 3 at a later date is £799 and this
price is locked in for 24 months following the completion of your Scottish FA C
License Phase 1. This option allows candidates to get started on their Coach
Education Journey at a lower fee, before upgrading to the full C License
Package when it is preferable for you.

Secure a guaranteed position on all phases of the Scottish FA Level 1 & C
License Courses, to ensure your completion of the C License in the quickest
possible time-frame. For candidates who have the means to complete the full
course and who have ambitions of progressing onto the UEFA B and A Licenses
as quickly as possible, this is the ideal option. The on-pitch practical
assessment takes place in Edinburgh, Scotland from 3 - 8 December 2026. IDA
and ONE10SPORT will provide candidates with a comprehensive Travel
Guidelines document, which includes accommodation recommendations and
“need-to-know” information for your travels to Scotland. With coaches in
attendance from across the world, with varying travel budgets, travel is not
included and candidates will need to arrange and book travel requirements
accordingly.
FAQs
What does this partnership mean for you as an aspiring football coach?
The partnership is hugely significant for all aspiring coaches, as it is now possible and viable to complete your Scottish FA Qualifications online, with only the final assessments being delivered face to face in Scotland. This is typically a 4-day on-pitch guided assessment. Whilst candidates are required to make their own travel arrangements, IDA and One10Sport will provide a detailed Travel Guidelines document, including suitable accommodation recommendations for your stay in Scotland. There are several hotels in close proximity to the Oriam Performance Centre, and transferring between the hotels and venue, is hassle free.
Are there prerequisites (certain requirements) for an aspiring coach to attend?
No, all coaches, experienced or not, are accepted and welcomed onto the course and guided through each step by the Scottish FA instructors. The courses are structured from introductory level, gradually moving up towards the more advanced tactical components of the C License Course. Participants are provided with digital study material and all the support they need to ensure that they are adequately prepared to move up the qualification ladder.
Do I receive the identical qualification as one would attending the course in Scotland?
Yes, the course is run in it’s entirety by the Scottish FA and the association’s UEFA accredited instructors. All accreditation (certificates and badges) is issued directly by the Scottish FA, as it is done in Scotland.
Does this qualification make one eligible to apply for the UEFA B License?
Yes, in May every year, we offer coaches who have completed their Scottish FA C License, the opportunity to apply for the UEFA B License in Scotland at the Heriot-Watt University, Oriam Performance Centre in Edinburgh. We assist all eligible candidates with their applications and corresponding travel bookings, upon acceptance (by the Scottish FA) onto the course.
